Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce
Goals and Activities

Membership - The Chamber strives to continue to grow our membership with active participants. The Chamber will be looking into ways to increase the value of the Chamber membership. .

Ambassadors - The Chamber encourages all Chamber members to have an active ambassador from their company. The ambassadors are a vital part of the Chamber who conduct our ribbon cuttings, serve as volunteers for Chamber functions, plan our Chamber socials, and network opportunities. The Ambassadors also organize the Nodaway County Fair Parade held in July. The Ambassadors meet the second Monday of every month.

Tourism - The Chamber will continue to attract out of town visitors to our community through our printed brochures and trade show booths. A new brochure was designed last year to highlight the historic and architecturally significant homes and buildings in Maryville. Many of our events planned will draw tourists to Maryville.

Maryville Festival of the Arts- The Arts Festival made its debut last July around the courthouse square. Local artists of all kinds displayed their talent along with activities just for kids.

Retail Revitalization - The retail and service sector of our community are influenced by numerous factors in our trade area. The sub-committees in a participatory effect are defining the factors such as image, retail recruitment, promotion, customer service, economic development, affordable housing, business improvement and retention, tourism, alumni retention and recruitment, and traffic congestion. Working with other community efforts in hopes to improve our economic base.

Marathon - . The marathon is an official 26.2-mile marathon race and will also offer a half marathon. This June event will bring people to Maryville and the Chamber will need volunteers to make this event a success.

Car Show -. The car show will feature several auto classes including motorcycles. To be announced.
