DESCRIPTION:The biennial collaboration between Northwest's Music and\nTheatre programs continues with FOOTLOOSE\, where the famous movie musical\nbursts onto the live stage! \n\n\n\nWhen Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town\, Ren isn't prepared\nfor the ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher. The heartfelt story\nthat emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man\naching for the father who walked out on him. With its Oscar and Tony-nominated\ntop 40 score and dynamic new songs for the stage musical\, Footloose celebrates\nthe wisdom of listening to young people\, and guiding them with a warm heart and\nan open mind.\n\n\n\nFootloose runs April 5-7 in the Mary Linn Auditorium in the Ron Houston Center\nfor the Performing Arts. \n\nTickets are $12 for adults/$10 for students and seniors\, and can be purchased\nat the Cashiering Office\, by phone at 660-562-1321\, or at the box office up to\none hour before the show.
