SUMMARY:Generational Differences - Bridging the Gap
DESCRIPTION:Northwest\nMissouri State University\, in conjunction with the Maryville Chamber of\nCommerce\, invites students and employees\, as well as the public\, to a series of\nlearning opportunities featuring presenters discussing workplace topics from\nengaging in difficult conversations and generational differences.\n\nSix\npresentations are scheduled this fall for area professionals. Each presentation\ncosts $25 for Maryville Chamber of Commerce members or $40 for non-members.\nRegistration is available online at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/hr/trainingopps.htm.\n\n\nThe\npresentations are free to Northwest students and employees as part of the\nUniversity s Career Pathing program\, which provides professional development\nopportunities to students interested in advancing to new levels of pay and\nresponsibility. \n\nAll\npresentations are 60 or 90 minutes long and take place in the J.W. Jones\nStudent Union. Candy will share her knowledge of gender differences to help\nparticipants understand there is a difference in communication and conflict\nmanagement between genders. \n\nThe genetics portion of the presentation will expose four\npersonality styles and how each personality contributes to the organization s\nvision and goals. Learn which team members behavioral style works best with\neach job position. Learn how to keep performance high when morale is low during\nchanging times in the organization. Understand how to motivate\, communicate and\nnegotiate with the Baby Boomers to the Baby Zs.
