DESCRIPTION:The Nodaway County Historical Society will host a Movie\nMemories and Songs of the Past program at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday\, July 15 at the\nmuseum at 110 N. Walnut St. in Maryville.  Sandy Cook Messner and Jim\nCook\, grandchildren of C.E. (Doc) Cook and children of James E. Cook\, the\nowners of the Tivoli and the Dude Ranch Drive-In Theaters\,  will present\nthe program.  After an introduction telling about early entertainment and\nother theaters in Maryville  and Nodaway County\, Sandy and Jim will share\nsome of their memories about growing up in the theater family.  They will\ntell of the rich history of the theaters located in Maryville.  Numerous\nmovie posters\, pictures and other memorabilia will be on display.  \n\n\n\n Come join us to learn more about the hey-day of the\ntheaters in Maryville and share your memories.  The historical society is\nalways interested in obtaining photos\, or scans of photos relating to any\naspect  of life in the county.   Admission is free\, donations\nare welcome.  Call 660-582-8176 with any questions.
