DESCRIPTION:Archaeology Program at\nNodaway County Museum\n\n\nAn early observance of\nArchaeology Month\, which is September\, will be held at the Nodaway County\nHistorical Society Museum\, 110 N. Walnut St.\, Maryville\, MO on Sunday\, August\n14 at 2:00 p.m.  \n\n\nBill Scott will present a\nprogram with slides on Life in a Native American Earth Lodge.  Following\nthe program\, those attending are encouraged to view a new display of related\nitems\, including a mammoth tooth. This was recently donated to the\nhistorical society by Earl Seipel\, who found it on the 102 River between\nMaryville and Pickering in the 1950s.  Also\, after the program\, will be a\ntime when the public is welcome to bring in artifacts and Scott will help to\nidentify them.\n\n\nThe program is free\,\nthough donations are welcome.  Refreshments with a Native American theme\,\npopcorn and pumpkin bars\, will be served.   Call the museum at\n660-582-8176 with any questions.
