We highly recommend\nthat people come out to the Market every week to support our farmers and to take\ncharge of their health by taking advantage of these FREE screenings that are so important to their health. These Second Saturday Screenings offer shoppers the opportunity to monitor key indicators of their health at no charge. SSM Health St. Francis Hospital will offer monthly screenings that will include blood pressure\, cholesterol\, blood sugar\, and mental health as well as advice on nutrition and diet. In addition\, Northwest Missouri State University’s Foster Fitness Center will have a fitness expert on hand to share with market patrons the benefits of an active lifestyle as well as demonstrations of simple exercises that people can do at home to improve their strength. Lastly\, Market coordinators are also working with the operators of the new Michael Coy farm-to-table restaurant that will soon be opening at\nthe Mozingo Lake Conference Center to conduct demonstrations on how to turn the\nfresh food they purchase at the Market into delicious meals.
