DESCRIPTION:A special\ntopics class at Northwest Missouri State University covering the spring\npolitical season will host a Maryville Town Hall forum for the upcoming\nmunicipal election. \n\nThe forum\nwill be held March 29 at 7 p.m. in the second floor courtroom of the Nodaway\nCounty Courthouse on the Maryville square. Participants in the hour-long forum\ninclude Renee Reidel\, Maryville s mayor and city council member\, who is running\nunopposed for re-election\; Maryville R-II School Board candidates Rob Sparks\nand Josh McKim\, who are also unopposed for two open seats on the board\; and\nMaryville City Manager Greg McDanel. \n\nThe forum s\nintent is to provide residents the opportunity to pose questions to the\ncandidates about their plans for office\, as well as to ask questions of the\ncity manager regarding the two tax initiatives on the upcoming ballot\, as well\nas address other areas of concern regarding the city. \n\nThe forum\nwill be broadcast live on KNWT-8 on Suddenlink Cable\, and will be live-streamed\nthrough KNWT s Ustream channel. An archive of the forum will be made available\nthrough the Northwest Missourian website after the event.
