His wife\, Elita Cornelison\, is the granddaughter of Dr. Aristies Quinero\, the founding father of the Republic of Panama and a signer of its constitution. He was a Panamanian government dignitary who\, with U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt\, participated in the inaugural transit of the Panama Canal.  Hosted by Nodaway County Historical Society.
