SUMMARY:Tower Choir & University Chorale Spring Concert Programs
DESCRIPTION:The Northwest Missouri State University Tower Choir and University Chorale will perform their spring concert programs Sunday\, April 18\, and invite the University community to view the performances online.\n\nDue to COVID-19 restrictions\, the concert venue will not be accessible to the public. Instead KNWT\, Northwest's student-led television station\, will broadcast the concert presentations on its YouTube channel.\n\n\n\nThe Tower Choir program begins at 2 p.m. and can be viewed by clicking here. It will feature accompanied and unaccompanied works\, including "Alleluia" by Elaine Hagenberg\, "Ring Out\, Wild Bells" by Jonathan Dove\, "Earth Song" by Frank Ticheli\, "The Waking" by David Conte\, "Exsultate\, jubilate" by Karl Jenkins and "Ride On\, King Jesus" arranged by Moses Hogan.\n\nThe University Chorale will present performances featuring two separate small ensembles. The performance times and links are 3 p.m. by clicking this link and 4 p.m. by clicking this link.\n\nThe University Chorale ensembles will perform "Fanfare for a Festival" by Ron Nelson\, "Gloria in excelsis Deo" by Franz Joseph Haydn\, "Hine ma tov" arranged by Neil Ginsberg\, "Omnia Sol" by Z. Randall Stroope\, "Let There Be Peace on Earth" by Sy Miller and Jill Jackson\, and "The Music of Living" by Dan Forrest as well as the Northwest Missouri State University Alma Mater.\n\n\n\nThe Northwest Tower Choir\, conducted by Professor of Music Dr. Stephen Town\, is an auditioned ensemble that performs choral music of all periods and styles. Dr. Jiwon Choi accompanies the choir on piano.  The University Chorale\, under the direction of Professor of Music Dr. Brian Lanier\, is a large choral organization open to all Northwest students with no audition requirement. The ensemble presents a concert each semester\, and its repertoire ranges from classical to gospel and contemporary to Broadway.
