DESCRIPTION:Come visit the Nodaway County Museum to see the opening of the exhibit Voices in Stitches\, created by Northwest Missouri State University senior Kasey Solomon.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nVoices in Stitches offers a closer look at the varied uses of quilts in the history of the country\, with a focus on quilts in Nodaway County\, Missouri. The exhibit examines the different ways women used quilting to build relationships\, strengthen the community\, express creativity and culture\, and voice political convictions. Come in on opening day and appreciate the rich\, local history these quilts have to offer.\n\n\n\nThe Nodaway County Historical\nSociety is located at 110 N Walnut Street\, Maryville\, Missouri.\n\n The museum will open at 2:00\nApril 23 for viewing of exhibits\, and the program\, which is free and open\nto the public\, will begin at 2:30.  Refreshments will be\nserved.  Donations are always welcome to help the historical society in\nits exhibits and operations\, as it runs on donations\nwithout any tax support.
