Amazing Lettuce Chase

The Amazing Lettuce Chase is quickly approaching and we can hardly wait!! The name might be a little misleading so we want you to know this is not a race! It is a 2-3 hour adventure which takes participants on a 100-mile route to places of interest and historical significance throughout Nodaway County as they decipher puzzling clues leading to their next destination. Staggered start times keep participants spread out and the goal is to gather all 15 clues and reach the final destination where a light 50’s diner-style meal will be served.

Teams are made up of four people and the entry fee is $100 per team.

Prizes will be awarded to best costumed teams and for best team names. All participants are entered into a drawing for more than $2,000 worth of prizes.

The spin-off of TV's “Amazing Race” starts at Lettuce Dream, 1623 East 2nd Street in Maryville. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time, which will be e-mailed to team captains on Saturday, July 21.

Parking is limited so plan to bring your team in one vehicle. The ending location is a large air-conditioned facility.
