Do you like sports?! If so, it is time to get excited because the Nodaway County Historical Society in Maryville is bringing to town the Smithsonian exhibit “Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America.” It will be on display at the museum from October 12th to December 2nd and will be free to everyone!
To tell our local story, the Historical Society and the University Archives at Northwest Missouri State University are asking for your help. Were you on a championship team at Northwest or a local high school? Do you have grandpa’s letter jacket from decades ago? Do you have any of the old Marcel studio sport photographs? Bring your objects, photographs, and stories to one of our “Calls for Objects”
Thursday, June 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Historical Society (110 N. Walnut St., Maryville)
Saturday, July 14th from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Maryville Public Library (509 N. Main St., Maryville)
