Do you have a small, forage-based livestock farm? If so, this meeting series could be of interest to you! Over the course of three evenings, you'll learn about the best forages for your farm and animals, how to decide when to improve or replace a pasture, fertilizing forages, how many animals your pastures can handle, simple grazing systems, grazing multiple livestock species together, the steps for success when planting forages, how to get through dry weather, toxic plants to watch for, and more! The fee is $30 per person and includes the three meetings and materials. The series will be held at the Northwest Technical School, and registrations are being handled by the tech school. To register, visit https://nts.maryville.k12.mo.us/o/nts/page/community-education. On that page, you can find the name, phone number, and email of the tech school contact, as well as the online registration form.
