We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (or a Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing clinical and administrative duties, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations
- Obtain vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Schedule appointments and update patient records
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Follow standard infection control procedures and maintain a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
