    Job Description
                                                      FLSA Status: Exempt FT
     
    POSITION: Community Living Program Manager– This position is an integral part of the Management Team and Supervisor within the agency responsible for many activities surrounding the care of individuals with developmental disabilities. 
     
    ACCOUNTABLE TO: Assistant Director
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma/GED and at least three years of experience within the field of
    developmental disabilities and three years of supervisory experience in the field of DD as a PM or above
    OR
                       Bachelor’s Degree relevant to position with at least 1 year of experience and/or 1 year of supervisory
                       experience in the field of DD as a PM or above.
     
    REQUIRED TRAINING:
    Agency Orientation, First Aid, CPR, Abuse & Neglect, HIPAA, Positive Behavior Support, Level I Medication Aide, Clinical Supervision, Program Management.
     
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Directs daily operations of the Community Living team.
    • Establish and nurture close working relationships with the families of clients served by Community Living and solicits feedback from families and guardians to improve services.
    • Fulfills other Community Living Program Manager’s roles in their absence.
    • Meets with Supervisor regularly to assess organizational needs.
    • Collaborates with the RN in regard to the functions of the RN and how RN duties interact with the agency personnel and individuals served.
    • Anticipates staffing needs and works with Human Resources to create a pipeline of qualified applicants for positions with typically high turnover.
    • Collaborates with other Program Managers and HR Manager to provide and track needed staff training.
    • Meets annual budget requirements for Community Living.
    • Establishes and nurtures close working relationships with Community Living team staff and managers.
    • Develops action plans with managers and staff with a focus on ensuring and improving quality and efficiency of services pertaining to areas of responsibility.
    • Carries out all subordinate duties as needed during absences.
    • Provides direct support in providing services needed to protect the health and safety of the consumer, in a staffing crisis.
    • Provides training and oversight for staff about: Medicaid Waiver guidelines; licensing regulations, as they relate; nursing delegation/process, individual plans and planning, and certification standards, as they relate.
    • Coordinates and assists the staff with maintaining positive relationships.
    • Be available to respond to staff in case of an emergency.
