Hy-Vee

The philosophy of the “Helpful Smile in Every Aisle” started with Hy-Vee’s cofounders, Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg, who opened their first store in 1930 in Beaconsfield, Iowa. Through their efforts and those of the employees who followed them, the name Hy-Vee has become synonymous with quality products, low prices and superior customer service. Our mission statement, “Making lives easier, healthier, happier,” expresses our operating principles. The Maryville store opened in 1973 and offers a fresh bakery, delicatessen, meat and fresh seafood market, HealthMarket, wine & spirits and a kitchen with dine-in offerings as well as a full catering menu.
