The Northwest Missouri State University Clay Club will host an art sale from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in Meeting Room D of the J.W. Jones Student Union.
The event features functional and non-functional sculpture as well as paintings, prints, photography, drawings, furniture and hand-made ceramics.
Pieces may be purchased by cash or check.
Eighty-five percent of the proceeds go directly to students and help offset the costs of art supplies. Remaining proceeds support art-oriented activities such as field trips and other co-curricular activities for the Clay Club.
The Clay Club hosts the art show and sale in collaboration with Northwest’s Art Association at the end of each fall and spring trimester. The event is an established tradition at Northwest, giving students an opportunity to show their best work, collaboratively build a display of work with peers from all studio areas and celebrate student talent and accomplishments with the community.
The Clay Club is a student organization for ceramics students. Students involved in Clay Club are intermediate and advanced level students.
