              Event Description:
              World League Wrestling is hosting a very special professional wrestling event taking place Saturday, October 19 at the West Nodaway High School Gymnasium! On that night in Burlington Junction, Missouri, fans from all over the globe will have the opportunity to be a part of history. WLW is paying tribute to its creator and father - Harley Race. The 8-Time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, WWE Hall of Fame member, and Nodaway County native Harley Race created World League Wrestling in 1999 as a way for him to stay involved in the sport he loved, but also as a way to continue to provide wrestling for fans that supported him and his peers for decades. After his untimely passing on August 1, World League Wrestling felt the need to host an event that would allow fans and professional wrestlers alike to pay tribute doing the thing that everyone loves - or loves to watch - professional wrestling! On October 19, WLW will be hosting the Harley Race Memorial Wrestling Event at the West Nodaway High School, located in the same area where Race was raised prior to his superstar-like fame in the world of wrestling. Leland Race, son of Harley Race, has said “This event is special to me, to the wrestlers of WLW, and I hope that the fans think it is as special as we do. We are doing this as our way to pay tribute to the man that gave his life for professional wrestling. We are looking forward to doing this event for many reasons. It’s the first time in nearly 20 years that WLW has been in the area. I hope it isn’t the last. I look forward to seeing a packed gymnasium in Burlington Junction on October 19th”. Former WWE Tag-Team Champion Trevor Murdoch will be in attendance that night to meet the fans! This event will also serve as a fundraiser for the West Nodaway Athletics program as 100% of all concession sales will be donated to the program from that night’s event. Fans can purchase tickets at Goff’s Home Grocery in Burlington Junction and Maryville Florists in Maryville. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.harleyrace.com.               Tickets are $10 for GA if purchased in advance, and $15 for Ringside if purchased in advance. Ticket prices rise $2 per ticket the day of the event.
