International Radio Day Celebration

International Radio Day - The Northwest celebration will feature a program on the history of audio recording by Alex Kirt, an assistant professor of Communication and Mass Media. There will be a demonstration on how to make a record using original equipment from the 1940s. Northwest jazz musicians will give a short performance, and you will be able to see their performance “cut” on a record. You can also tour Northwest's own Warren Stucki Museum of Broadcasting where you can try your hand at Morse code and test out your newscaster skills in a studio from the 1990s. Special tours of the KXCV/KRNW studios also will be offered. Refreshments will be provided. Event sponsored by the Northwest Campus Museums, the School of Communication and Mass Media, B.D.
