On Sunday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. the Nodaway County Historical Society will host a program given by Marla Burnsides on her Native American heritage at the museum at 110 N. Walnut St., Maryville MO.
Burnsides will share stories of her grandmother and the time on the reservation near White Cloud, Kansas. The Ioway tribe was one of the first tribes to come through the Nodaway County area and Burnsides will also speak about that. This will be an interesting program for all ages, so the historical society welcomes everyone to this program, after which refreshments will be served.
The program is free; donations are always welcome. Museum hours are Tuesdays through Fridays, 1:00 to 4:00 and other days by appointment.
